How can I place 125×125 ads on my blog?

I always wanted to know how I can add my own 125×125 banners ads to the side menu of my blog. Is there a plugin that can do this, or do I need to use an ad network?

    My theme allows me to add 125×125 banners on my blog, but I think there’s plugin through which you can do it.
