Respect their time. Bar none, I vibe with all bloggers who respect my time. People literally put themselves in my blogging shoes by respecting my time. What good peeps! Impressive. I know how easy it feels to get lost in your world, in your head, in your human experience. But respecting a pro’s time goes a long way in earning respect.
Flip side, I have no issues with bloggers who do not respect my time. However, I do not remember these folks. Tough time recalling bloggers who have a tough time respecting how busy I am. Never get it twisted. I love putting aside time for as many humanoids as possible every day. But I can only put aside a few moments to help individuals because I maintain a busy schedule. For example, I guest post 5 times daily and publish 5 posts to Blogging From Paradise. Plus I promote 126 eBooks. Plus I do not have 8 arms like an octopus. I have 2 arms like a human being. Unfortunately. Imagine what I could do with 8 arms? Crazy. Alas…..I have 2 arms but publish 10 or more posts every single day. How could I ever set aside 1 or more hours for someone unless that someone pays me to be a client? Yet, some struggling or newbie bloggers expect me to coach them for free. Yep guys; this is NOT respecting my time. Bearing no ill will toward these folks – who know not what they do because they know not how busy bloggers maintain tight schedules – I do not remember these folks either.
Not good. Much success can be had by positively influencing top bloggers. But you lose clout by being forgettable to established, pro bloggers. Respect blogger’s time. Understand how even if you do not maintain a busy schedule, pro bloggers blog on a busy schedule. Never presume pros can or will set aside 30 minutes for a text interview. Pros have 3-5 minutes to answer your questions. Top pros may set aside 20 or 30 minutes for a video interview but never assume pros can or will devote that much time to you. Do you count yourself as an influencer? Yes? Pros may set aside time for you. But if not, earn the right to interview top bloggers by patiently creating and connecting to pop up on their radar screens.
For a few moments, picture changing roles with top bloggers. How do they feel? What does their day look like? Imagine working for 10 – 12 hours daily? Picture being on a tight schedule? Feeling these emotions, respecting top blogger schedules becomes easier because you see life from their perspective. Never again do you assume top pros can set aside 1 hour to help you for free. Would you ask Tony Robbins for 1 hour of free coaching? Hell do! Dude gets $1 million for clients he coaches over a year. He does not offer free 1 hour coaching. Tony worked his way into higher, abundant circles. He maintains an incredibly busy schedule now. People respect that. He paid his dues. Now you pay your dues. No free blogging lunches. Eventually, partnerships with top bloggers arise after you create and connect generously, for thousands of hours.
But even if joint ventures do not manifest, you quickly respect top blogger schedules on a deeper level because you too become as busy as a top blogger. I remember being annoyed at how top bloggers responded with 1 word answers as a newb, 10 years ago. Of course I felt agitated! I was a nobody from nowhere with endless time, no responsibilities, no blogging business and ample envy, jealously and mental poison to dole out upon successful bloggers who I wished to be. Being even a wee bit busier allowed me to see from their perspective. I respected these folks – and their 1 word responses – stupid fast.
Do you feel confused about how to automate effectively? Most bloggers have no idea how to automate the right way, being annoying bots through Twitter, turning off their followings. Stop being a stupid blogging cyborg. Succeed by automating the right way. Buy my eBook:
