Over the past few months, I am ruthlessly hyper aware of who I trust and why I trust them. I also am stupid aware of what tools I trust. Some absolutely awesome, loving people are using tools that lie to them. So someone who is trustworthy, may offer untrustworthy advice. Not based on their character, but based on faulty tools or strategies.
Guys; I shall share a specific example. Remember this: I love you all. I trust my dear blogging buddies. But sometimes, our own fears influence us to trust untrustworthy sources. Part of life, really.
So….a few moments ago, an awesome reader of mine did a speed test on my blog. Solid. But he spotted some issues with concurrent users. The only problem with the issues would be this: if truly issues or problems, I have been emailing thousands upon thousands of people over the past 2 years of my life, and not one human being ever contacted me about these site issues. So, either the tools this awesome readers used tell the truth, and thousands of human beings who love me, respect me and offer honest feedback, chose to not love me, respect me and offer honest feedback, over 2 years of my life….or….the tool-strategy lied. I trust my loving, genuine, honest readers over a tool. Tools lie for greedy, profit-building purposes. I love and trust the individual who sent me the speed test. 100% nothing personal; he is awesome. I respect him. It’s just, tools lie, and love-trust-respect, from thousands of loyal humans, over 2 years of your life, do not collectively lie, for 2 years and thousands of blog posts.
One other honest possibility exists; within the past 3-4 days, my VPS performance went down the crapper. Could be true, but not likely.
Who do you trust? Why? Be hyper aware of honest, genuine people using methods faulty and failing, due to one of a billion reasons. Even if with the slightest potential, the server issue were true, I have 50,000 backlinks pointing to my blog. Life is good. Success is good. Freedom is good. But again, the trust evidence weighs in titanic fashion, toward all being OK with my VPS.
One video network is another fabulous example. I noted low video views for years. Could care less. But I decided to test because something smelled fishy. I published a video. No less than 3 people told me they loved the video, and noted specific points in the video I made, proving they watched the entire video. 3 hours after sharing feedback and watching the video, the video site registered zero page views. Do not implicitly trust sites, stats or tools, and beware even trusting honest people who become deceived by things. Trust your intuition. Trust love. Trust generously creating and connecting.
Move away from blanket skepticism. I trust people. But I only devote my deepest levels of implicit trust, to my inner world. My intuition tells me truth. My gut knows. My clear hunches always know. People fail through fear. Tools are tools, and may lie or err. Or people may build tools to lie and err, to manipulate you. Love, compassion, harmony and abundance, these are the truths we need listen to. Help people generously. Make friends generously. Monetize through multiple streams of income. Trust the process. Be extremely careful about trusting anyone who comes to you from a place of fear because instantly, said folks prove they are seeing an illusion, an idea of lack, an idea of scarcity and separation and poverty.
Yeah; never trust that stuff.
