Do you really want to have a blast succeeding in the blogging game? Make blogging a team sport. Work with, and for, to co-create a glorious blogging career. I write and publish upwards of 5 guest posts daily in addition to 5 video and or podcast themed posts I publish daily on Blogging From Paradise. Why? 1000 is better than 1. Seriously, you Young Blogging Sweetlings; doesn’t it feel better to live your life, to step out, to go offline and to see your blogging business expanding as you….well….have a life? Hell yeah, I work generously for hours daily. But being offline, I am able to enjoy my time here in lovely NYC because everything keeps growing when I step away from the laptop. Plus, it feels fun to help people, generously, to make friends and to connect with my team….aka…blogging buddy network.
Blogging is a team sport. We work so well together by helping each other out and by having fun in the process. Problems and frustration and struggles only arise if you try to make blogging a purely solo endeavor. Blogging is not like tennis or boxing. Blogging can not be a solo gig because you cut yourself off from the team who helps you succeed. Blogging is like football, basketball, baseball or soccer. Think of it this way; how fun would it be to make friends by generously helping a ton of other bloggers, through genuine blog commenting and by promoting these folks on your blog and through social media? That would feel good, right? Then, feeling awesome just about making friends, these blogging buddies begin to promote your blog, buy your eBooks and hire you, around the clock. Even better feeling of course because you are not just having fun making friends, you also have a blast making money through blogging and also, adding a passive element to your blogging campaign.
My wife Kelli and I just walked a 140 pound Bernese Mountain dog around NYC. He gets lots of stares. Awesome conversation starter. Anyway, I told 3 people about our house sitting around the globe and also, gave them the link to my blog. How cool is that? Growing traffic and business while offline. But here’s the delicious kicker; when I returned home, a handful of folks shared my latest blog posts on Twitter while I was walking around the city. Passive traffic, while walking dogs and gaining traffic offline, maximizes blog traffic to Blogging From Paradise. Of course, people who retweeted my latest blog posts are those blogging buddies I befriended by sharing their content or by commenting genuinely on their blogs, for a minute. Or, some of these folks found me through my blogging buddy network, being readers of my blogging buddies’ blogs. Teamwork strikes again!
We are all connected, guys. We really area. You and I appear to be separate but that is an illusion. Making blogging a teamwork endeavor just helps you tap into that one-ness and also makes your life easier while allowing your success to accelerate. You cannot go wrong by building a friend network generously because team work does, in fact, make the dream work. Things only go South if you try to go solo because you burn out trying to do everything by yourself, you lose the passive element of making money while you sleep – or walk insanely huge dogs around NYC – and you miss out on the fun, party-like blogging atmosphere surrounding generous bloggers.
Blogging: a team sport.
