When you decide to spend some of your hard-earned cash on an advertising campaign, you want to make sure that you are getting value for your money. In the age of Internet marketing where you can buy ads from a variety of sources, like Google AdWords or Facebook, it is critically important that you track all of that traffic and see parameters are providing you with the best return on investment.
Click trackers play an important role for any Internet marketer and ClickMagick claims to be one of the best. In addition to providing the basics like supporting link rotators and link cloaking, ClickMagick also comes with a large selection of even more features to help further boost how far your ad dollars can go.
The Smarter Way to Track
Boasting 19 profit-boosting features you can’t get anywhere else, ClickMagick guarantees “to make every click you get more profitable.”
It’s not restricted to use with any one advertising platform, working anywhere that you advertise. ClickMagick offers intelligent split testing, using a proprietary algorithm to instantly notify you when you have a statistically valid split-test winner. It also offers advanced retargeting, dynamic affiliate links, automatic traffic quality analysis, auto traffic-bot filtering, geotargeting and mobile targeting, and compatibility with Google Analytics.
Simply tracking the number of clicks you get is not enough; you want to extract as much value as possible out of those clicks and ClickMagick provides you with all the robust tools and statistics that you need to make those educated decisions.
Setting Up the Tracking Links
The basic layout for the ClickMagick user dashboard is reasonably easy to follow, providing obvious sections for links, rotators, pop ups, bars and timers. The process starts with setting up your links.
It helps a lot if you are already familiar with a lot of terminology associated with Internet marketing and click tracking, but ClickMagick does provide a series of tutorial videos to guide you through the process too. You set up the tracking link with where you want it to direct, whether you want it be cloaked, and so on. Above this, you can see all the key pieces of data too, like total clicks, unique clicks, actions, sales conversion rate, CPA and EPC.
To maximize your use of ClickMagick, you will want to take advantage of the advanced settings too. This is where you can define the maximum number of clicks (defining a backup URL); defining the traffic cost on a CPC, CPA, daily or monthly basis; setting up your geotargeting parameters on either a whitelist or blacklist basis; and adding retargeting and other pixels.
Pop Ups and the MagickBar
It would be impossible for me to go over every feature that ClickMagick, so I will highlight one of the most important. They call it “Money Layer Technology” and what it does is allow you to display your own custom information on top of any website. This technology comes in three forms: the MagickPop, Countdowns and the MagickBar.
The example that I’m displaying here is the MagickPop and it is a custom pop-up for my book, Beyond the Margins, that I am overlaying on the official Apple iPhone website. That’s right. You don’t need to own or have real access to the website, but you can still collect leads, promote products, and offer bonuses to visitors who go through your tracking link.
The custom pop-up can be created using the WYSIWYG editor built into the ClickMagick user interface or you can provide it with a webpage from which to pull that information. You then also define the size of the pop-up, the length of the cookie, and when the pop-up should appear. It’s really quite robust and, because you can overlay it on any website, it’s really versatile.
The MagickBar works in a similar way, adding a notification bar to the top of any website. You can use it to include whatever information you’d like, including the aforementioned Countdown feature, as well as opt-in forms.
