Life is fascinating. The more I live, the more I experience, I see we are on the journey of discovering fear to release fear, so we live more from a vibe of love, abundance and prosperity. In laymen’s terms; life is following passion, facing fear and being of service to others.
A few moments ago, one of my dear readers notified me how my emails seem to be going to the promotions folder. He suggested I add more text to the email in order to avoid the promo folder, to find the inbox. The driver is a general fear that nobody or fewer folks may be reading my emails. I have to assess my response or reaction to his email; do I feel fear, or, faith, in observing my feelings, after reading the email? In the next breath, I have to honestly assess whether I want to take his feedback and follow it. Or if I want to let it go and keep doing what I am doing. My choice.
Let’s drill deep; I do not need my email list because success is mine. So from that energy of posture and abundance, why would I add more text to emails when I only have 25 seconds to paste a link and move on? Fear. Fear would scare me into adding text to email because I would fear nobody reads my emails, winding up in promo folders. Of course, he read my email in the promo folder 🙂 He proved to me people read promo emails. On a deeper level, if no one read my emails through their inbox or promo folder, I am still in 500,000 places or 1 million places online. I would not fear losing opportunities to connect with email readers because I think and act so abundantly, I have 55,000 backlinks pointing to Blogging From Paradise, adding dozens more daily. How can I lose, amid gain? I cannot.
So I likely will not add text to emails because I respond from abundance and calm versus reacting in fear and panic. Someone may offer feedback based on their own fear of losing readers, projected onto you as their fear of you losing their readers. What can you do? Your choice. Your decision. I simply choose to observe my feelings and take it from there. Perhaps I would feel loving, fun and relaxed adding a few sentences or paragraphs of text? Maybe I try that? I may try that tomorrow. I will see how I feel then. But until then, I am happy being with emotions and making choices that benefit my blogging campaign. I did not email my list for 6-12 months. I have zero attachment to my email list. Emailing my list is like found money. Something I did not expect, and, it’s there. So whether folks read my blog or not through my email list it will never affect the 55,000 backlinks I grew from creating helpful content and building strong friendships.
In my eBook:
I delve into the concept of being authentic in all you do.
Being true to you precedes your success. Not being true to you precedes failure, and an uncomfortable, heavy feeling that you are not on the right path for you. Reacting to reader fear and acting being driven by their-your fear makes you less authentic. Responding to reader feedback vibing a bit with fear and scarcity helps you observe what you fear, or, what you do not fear. I genuinely appreciate my readers and their loving feedback; every one of my friends intends to help. But you need to do what works for you in order to proceed slowly and steadily with blogging growth, on your journey.
