I spent time on a few travel blogs today. One did not load in 20 seconds for my Chromebook. I left a comment and left the blog. Good content. But the UX left much to be desired. On a deeper level, I ponder all of the bloggers and readers out there who never return to slow-loading, painfully maddening blogs. Hey I get it. We all deserve to make money. But if you trade off the user experience for cash, you stop making cash or you hit a cash ceiling, profits-wise. Speed up your blog.
Let Go to Speed Up
Usually, stripping is the easiest way to speed things up and to make more money online. For example, one blog I visited moments ago loaded more slowly than molasses flowing on a bitterly cold winter day. Yeah; that slow. Anyway, I noted the root cause of the sick slowness. One pop up greeted me on the sidebar. One slider hit me down low. Plus, a slow-loading, dynamic ad moved like a snail along the bottom of the blog. General heavy images did not help matters. I almost felt my beard turn (more) gray and stubble fill out while the blog loaded. Guaranteed, the blogger likely became 100% blind to the slow-loading blog and the crappy user experience a long time ago, for fear of missing out on money. I know these travel blogging types. They panic and fear letting go that stupid slow loading banner on the bottom of their blogs. But, facing panic, and feeling it – although unpleasant – the fear goes away, and you begin to strip. Think; is it worth annoying thousands of readers to make $400 a month, RIGHT NOW? Or, is it worth it to remove the ads, to make 0 dollars for a few months because the ad is gone, BUT to position yourself to draw in an extra 7,000 readers monthly to your lightning fast loading blog? Leading to $5000 monthly income?
You know the answer. Letting go $400 now is worth making $10,000 down the road, monthly, through all the seamless, fast loading income channels you add to your blog, regularly. Why do you think I wrote and self-published 126 eBooks? I wanted a seamless way to earn passive income while helping readers, and also, keeping the UX tight and fast loading on my blog. Links load fast, and those sweet little Amazon embeds load super fast, too. I am always thinking about you guys, and how to speed things up, versus dwelling on losing money through my blog.
Strip down. Pare down. Trash the slow-loading, dynamic ads. Trash most elements on your sidebar. Readers need only a few things, anyway. Point your money at links, or, earn through links, versus bogging down your blog with slow-loading, heavy ads. Speed things up. Boost your blogging profits, too. We all win. Happy readers. Happy bloggers. Win-win scenarios please all involved, creating good feeling vibes through the blogging world.
But understand that Release fears scary and quite terrifying. You need to develop trust in self and in the process to let go a little blogging income now, to make room for an easier, more prospering, more profitable future. Hey; if you enjoy making 2 grand a month through slow-loading dynamic ads, more power to you. But if you trade that 2 grand and slow ads for a lightning fast loading blog, you hit an earnings ceiling at 2 grand, because you turn off most readers. If most turn away, how you can make more than 2 grand? In truth, the number begins dropping. Not a good thing. Face your fear of losing money now. Trash the slow loading, heavy ad. Position yourself to make more money in the future. You shall prosper. Guaranteed. I believe in you.
Let go. Grow.
