I call readers to buy my eBook at the end of every blog post and video I create. For the past year, at least. I intend that my readers know what I offer via the eBook. Shyness gets you nowhere. People sense shy bloggers and stay away. Clear bloggers build successful online businesses because said bloggers feel comfortable sharing their premium offerings.
I have zero time to be unclear on my offering these days, anyway. I am usually busy but my house sitting duties in Turkey require me to set fires and walk dogs and do other offline stuff, eating into hours of my day. I have no choice; I need to be effective and efficient, making a big eBook impact in as little time as possible to keep business humming along while I care for doggies and set fires, for heating. Yes; no central heating in this quiet little village. We light fires to keep warm, or we freeze our rear ends off.
Are you clear on your offering? Really? Do your readers genuinely know what you offer? I sometimes dig for 10 or 20 seconds before figuring out how a blogger helps me in terms of premium offerings. This is insane. Really. If someone visits my blog, the individual immediately knows my eBooks, courses and audio books grace the top menu of my blog. No beating around the blogging bush. I am not unclear on selling, nor am I scared to sell what I have to offer. We are talking money here, not anything mysterious or in demand, or scarce.
However, most bloggers cling to all types of silly money fears, goading them to hide premium offerings under layers of pages, forcing them to rarely if ever call readers to buy the offering. If you do not feel clear on your eBook, why would you expect readers to feel clear on your eBook?
Everything outside of you mirrors back how you feel about yourself, your blog and your blogging skills. If you hide your premium offerings and never mention these gifts, you fear selling what you sell. Maybe you fear being labeled a fraud. Perhaps you feel guilty accepting money for your products and services due to some ashamed money limiting belief impressed on you by your parents.
Whatever the reason, be with money fears. Accept the truth; if you hide your offerings, you cheat both your readers and yourself. I did feel shy promoting my eBook for many years but had to feel and clear some wicked money limiting beliefs to release these fears. Well worth the effort. I help more folks and make more money through this simple, clear strategy.
- promote one premium offering at the end of all blog posts
- promote one premium offering at the end of all videos
- clearly post a menu directing readers to premium offerings on your blog home page
All readers should see your premium offerings within 2-5 seconds of arriving at your blog. Never make people dig, search or ask you where you sell your stuff. If anybody needs to ask, this massive read flag indicates you have clearing to do with your premium offerings.
