There are so many ways to make money online, and the internet has allowed people to cash in by selling products, advertising space, and launching marketing videos. But, the growth of the internet has also caused a lot more competition for people online so for you to stand out, you need to become very creative. I think it all comes down to three very important things.
Related blog posts and resources:
First, the quality of your content needs to outperform all others in your niche. Google ranks websites on engagement, and high-quality content get’s enormous engagement. Secondly, your marketing strategy and your ability to tap into different traffic sources. Third, how well you can convert the visitor traffic coming to your website into buying customers. If your able to do all three, then you’ll be very successful online, and can make a lot of money doing what you love.
Today, we’ll be exploring a growing trend online, and that’s video marketing. The growth can be attributed to the popularity of video networks like YouTube, and how easy you can implement videos on your blog because of creative plugins. Let’s get started.
Know Your Audience
For you to create the perfect video, and one which engages your readers, you need to know your audience. By knowing what type of content, and products they resonate with, you’ll be able to create videos which cater to their needs. I hope by now you have Google Analytics installed on your website because this will provide all the statistics you need for free. For example, through Google Analytics, you can find out about –
- The type of content your current readers love to read
- Time on your website
- Where they are coming from
- Who referred them to your website
- And other custom data you want to gather
Once you know your audience, you’ll be able to create a video which converts well with your readers.
Understand Importance of Video Marketing
The only way you’ll put effort into video marketing is when you understand what it can do for your brand. For example, one mistake I made was collecting email subscribers 1 year after starting my website. I made this mistake because I didn’t understand the importance of email marketing, and what it can do for my brand. Think about video marketing the same way, and understand what it can do for your brand, products, and exposure. Start by learning about the rise of video marketing, and how other companies are using it to sell products.
After, you can thin about how video marketing can benefit your brand, and what it can do for you long-term.
For your video marketing to be successful, you need to appeal to all those mobile users. Think about how many people use their mobile phones to download information, and watch videos. Check out this infographic on the growth of mobile marketing, and how it’s changed the way we market products and services. Every time, I’m putting together a marketing campaign, I’ll think about mobile users first then actually PC users because so many of my readers are mobile users.
In the end, your mission should be to create a video which caters to every type of user on every type of device i.e tablets, phones, and PCs.
Testing & Budgeting
These go together because I recommend taking the first 30 days to test out your marketing strategy. This will allow you to adjust to your video marketing without spending too much money. Once you know what works, you can increase your budget, and slowly continue to make smaller changes. In order for you to stay within your budget, I encourage you to set a marketing budget and daily cap. Next, I recommend you document changes as you go through them so you know what’s been changed, and what has to be tweaked.
Final Thoughts on Creating an Effective Video Marketing Strategy
Video marketing is huge and can build your brand awareness quickly. However, for it to be effective, you need to make sure you use the following strategy above. Start slow and implement changes where you feel they will increase your overall conversion rate.

They also released stats on the following:

- 91% of video marketers consider video an important part of their marketing strategy. That’s an increase from 82% in 2017 and 85% in 2018.

Why Whiteboard for Explainers?
There’s been a lot of discussion as to why businesses should use whiteboard animations instead of other types of animation videos such as character animation, for example. Whiteboard animations are done in such a way that they command the attention of the viewer from the beginning to the end of the presentation.
These types of videos capture the attention of the viewer by presenting drawings, text, and other objects that appear on the screen in a particular order. This is more inducive to explainer videos because it allows you to present an explainer video in an educational but captivating way.
How to Beat the Competition
Another important reason to use whiteboard videos is the fact that the competition is fierce. It is estimated that competition online has increased by 90% over the past few years. This is because so many companies have gone online, making it harder to compete with similar businesses than before.
When you create a whiteboard video, you are putting your brand in front of your target audience in a way that improves the level of engagement and understanding of your brand more than most other media.
Making sure your audience understands your brand and your brand philosophy is essential. Whiteboard animation videos help you explain this in a way that they can know through visual images. Because whiteboard animation shows the viewer the entire presentation from start to finish, there may be less of a bounce rate and people leaving your page before they are finished watching.
Forbes Magazine makes the point that having whiteboard videos to illustrate your brand, products, or services is a great move for the following reasons:
- It is simple to do
- Inexpensive compared to other types of ads
- Science proves it’s effective
- It can go viral more easily
“The Draw Shop” researcher, neuroscientist Carla Clark, who specializes in neuropsychology focused on the effects of various types of imagery on the brain. She stated that the more simple an object is the less effort the brain needs to have to process the image. She went on to say that people are more likely to relate to the image on a personal level which would appeal to the limbic aspect of the brain which is responsible for the processes one uses when purchasing many cases.
For example, which of these two signs do you see as being more effective? Results will vary based upon your individual thought process.
As you can see, there is real scientific evidence that whiteboard animation stands out when it comes to appealing to the mind and the way it works in the average viewer’s neurological network system. There is real scientific proof as well as when you see the results that whiteboard animations have toward an effective marketing campaign.
Appeal to Their Child Side
Another reason whiteboard animation works are that it is sort of like a fantasy or cartoon. Many people grew up watching Saturday morning cartoons, and they have a sentimental attachment to them. Who doesn’t remember their favorite cartoon character? They might be reminded of their childhood when they watch a particular animated character or a cartoon animation. For whatever reason, whiteboard animation is more effective than most other kinds of video, so it is worth looking into as an option.
Expense is Low
The whiteboard video animations, when compared to traditional video such as someone would have gotten done at a TV studio years ago, is substantially lower. Someone can make a whiteboard animation themselves in one afternoon or evening with the right software or tools. They’re all so many online sites which allow creators to produce an animated video at a fraction of the cost if I could have done before.
What whiteboard video can do for you
For the small business owner who wants to engage their audience at a higher level, close more sales and explain their processes, products, or services in a simple way that will appeal to even the most critical buyers, whiteboard animation is an excellent solution for you. You can stay within your budget quickly and easily by having a whiteboard animation created, and you can be as creative as you want by adding graphics, motion graphics, character animations, or other objects that can fly on the screen at certain times to engage your audience.
It’s also important to note that whiteboard videos have proven to be extremely effective throughout the world. simpleshow reports not only longer viewership and engagement on whiteboard style videos, but also that respondents with a perceived low knowledge level showed the strongest improvement in knowledge due to the video — which is key when trying to portray a message to an audience through social media or when content is being viewed on a mobile device.
Meeting Your Goals with Whiteboard
Obtaining new leads and customers that will be loyal to your brand is your focus if you’re a small-business owner. You must figure out how to stand out among an ever-increasing crowd of people who also have the same goals you do. Success is simple if you have a plan. It is the wise business owner who includes whiteboard animation videos as a part of their regular campaign plan and incorporates it into their entire marketing plan.
Tips to Getting Started with Whiteboard Animation
There are several things you need to focus on if you are working on setting up a whiteboard animation. First, don’t just do “one video.” The “one hit wonders” only work in the music world.
In business and online for the average eCommerce owner, you have to think in terms of how to captivate your most valuable audience and keep their attention long enough to move onto your “call to action.” Whiteboard animation helps you do this by taking the viewer through the entire sales pitch in an exciting way.
Follow these tips to get more out of your whiteboard video marketing videos:
- Have a clear message and goal that you wish to reach through your videos.
- Sketch out a sequence or write a script that you want to follow.
- Imagine yourself as the viewer. What would you want to see to make the message more clear?
- Make your call-to-action clear and focused on one primary action, such as “Click here to buy now.”
Planning is essential if you want your result to be what you envision it to be. So write down your plan, then research ways to create your whiteboard videos.

At first you might be a bit apprehensive due to the fact that videos seem difficult to produce. However there are lots of different types of blog video content that are easy to create, and as a start you could look into the following:
‘Talking head’ video blogs
A ‘talking head’ video is the most common type of video blog (vlog), and by far the easiest to create. All you need to do is set up your webcam or smartphone to record yourself as you discuss a particular topic or explain something.
Generally ‘talking head’ videos are personality-driven, and so its effectiveness will largely come down to how passionate, entertaining and interesting you are in the video. Needless to say the topics that you choose to discuss or explain have a part to play as well.
No matter what type of videos you are going to create, be sure to follow these expert video tips to make the best content possible.
Interviews or discussion panels
Conducting an interview with an expert in a field related to your blog can be a great form of content, as can hosting a discussion panel comprised of several experts with differing standpoints. While it may seem like this type of content involves significant logistics – it can be accomplished more easily by conducting it via a video call and conference that you can then record from your screen.
In order for interviews or discussion panels to be effective, the topic, as well as the participants, need to be interesting enough to hook viewers. This is something you will often find on BloggingTips.com the YEC Expert discussions. We get to interview a wide range of experts, and they provide their opinion and expertise on various blogging and marketing issues. To make this experience even more engaging, it’s recommended to take a short video interview with each guest, and then compile them into one nice video for your audience, which could also be shared on YouTube.
One of the most popular forms of videos on blogs would have to be video guides – and for good reason. By teaching viewers how to perform a certain task or helping them learn something new, these videos are useful and tend to be able to engage viewers very effectively.
Video guides can be created using a lot of different ways, including recording a simple guide using a smartphone or screen recorder. However you could just as easily compile images and some video footage into a slideshow that can act as a video guide.
