Task.fm is simply an online reminder tool that you can use to organize your life and remember important tasks. When you sign up you can choose between a free or Pro account which costs $9.99.
With the free account you get an unlimited amount of email reminders and 10 sms/phone reminders per month. You also have the option to create reminders by email. With the Pro account you also get an unlimited amount of email reminders but instead receive 100 sms/phone reminders per month. You can once again also create reminders by email.
With Task.fm you can receive email, sms and/or phone reminders. SMS reminders will obviously send a text message to your mobile phone but phone reminders will send you voice messages. When adding a reminder you can choose which type of notification you want to receive. In the settings you can set how many number of times to retry if a call goes unanswered and you can also set the time to wait between retries.
Creating reminders is kind of like tweeting. You simply type what you want to be reminded of in the text box and you have a 140 character limit.
There are also advanced options that will allow you to edit a reminder, add a due date and time, select how you’d liked to be reminded of it (email, sms/phone) and then choose how early in advance you’d like to be reminded. You can even set the task to repeat every so hours, days, weeks or months. This can all be done from the “reminders” tab.
Task.fm not only lets you create reminders but you can also create a to-do lists and add tasks to each list. Of course, you will first need to create a task list before adding a task to it. You can then view all your task lists and tasks from the “to-do” tab.
So as you can see, Task.fm is great for people who need help remembering task and just about anything else. It’s definitely a simple, easy to use tool that anyone can use.
