Ponder that question for a moment.
Who did you speak to blogging-wise today?
Did you spend most if not all of your day speaking to people 100% interested in your blogging niche? Or did you spend a chunk of your time speaking to people outside of your blogging niche? Speak to people from your niche to save time and succeed. Speak to people outside of your niche to waste time and fail. Simple, but not entirely comfortable, because bloggers feel and honor the FOMO.
Fear. Of. Missing. Out.
As I spread the word on my eBook: How to NOT Waste Time Online
I observe a hefty number of bloggers who spend much of their day speaking to people not interested in their niche. Major time waster. Do you notice how I only blog on blogging tips topics? I speak only to people interested in blogging tips. I use time wisely. I do not waste time. I do not spend time speaking to folks or writing for folks or podcasting for folks or broadcasting live videos for folks outside of my niche because doing so wastes my time and wastes your time, too.
Even if I blog on sites not 100% aligned with blogging tips, everything I do online targets people who want blogging tips.
But I take it even deeper. Recently, I began promoting 1 of my 100 plus eBooks through every blog post, guest post, podcast and live broadcast. I speak directly to my niche and I also speak directly to eBook customers who buy my eBooks and drive eBook sales through referral marketing. What a simple, effective way to increase traffic and profits, right?
How the Process Works
Publish content only 100% aligned with your blogging niche. Readers who click on your targeted titles are 100% interested in your post and nice. This ensures you spend all day speaking to highly targeted readers, customers and clients. This also ensures you do not waste time speaking to people outside of your blogging niche because these folks have little to no interest in your blog, products and services.
Get fully clear on speaking to only one targeted reader online. Do not surrender to the fear of missing out. Bloggers fear missing out on an opportunity to connect with a human being without giving any thought to the intent of the human being. Why do you play a numbers game, fearing that you will miss an opportunity to connect with a person who has zero interest in your blog, niche and business? This is an unintelligent, poverty conscious approach to business, leading to struggles, failures and quitting.
My email inbox and spam folder reflect a serious lack of clarity in this regard. Every day, 50% to 80% of bloggers cold pitch me with a non-targeted approach, reaching out to a blogger completely outside of their niche. Some of these bloggers and entrepreneurs literally waste hours, weeks, months and years of their lives speaking to people who have zero interest in what they offer. This unintelligent approach reflects a deep fear, a pulsating lack of clarity and pretty much guarantees failure, short and long term.
Spend your blogging day speaking only to readers who are highly interested in your offering. Create highly targeted content across channels to speak to these folks. Network with bloggers from your niche. Comment genuinely on blogs from your niche.
Grow your traffic and profits the intelligent way.
