The first time I heard about Pressidium was actually through the contact form on Bloggingtips.com.
I get a TON of requests for guest posts (which I decline every time), so when the company emailed me asking for a review, I almost wrote it off.
But I'm glad I didn't, because in exchange for an honest review of the hosting, they gave me an entire year of free hosting - which I used to host the bloggingtips.com website in 2023.
After getting to know the hosting very well, I was pretty impressed overall with the product.
While it is not nearly as intuitive and streamlined as my top managed WordPress hosting recommendations (WP Engine and Pressable) it did hold its own in terms of the final product.
First, the support to get everything set up was as "white glove" as it could be.
The Blogging Tips site was a somewhat complicated build that was using a huge amount of storage on WP Engine.
The Pressidium team logged into the site via SFTP and transferred anything without me having to lift a finger. Once they were done, all I had to do was point the DNS records to the new server and check to make sure everything transferred over properly.
After that, the hosting seemed powerful and fast. Coming from WP Engine, I noticed no decrease in speed or performance.
Secondly, the support team was great to work with whenever I happened to run into issues. When I submitted a help request, I would almost always hear back within minutes - even for complicated issues that should have taken much longer.
They were also very proactive in reaching out to me regarding security issues or anything that might alarm them that I needed to address from my end.
The one downside to Pressidium is that is can get a bit expensive on the larger plans.
Pressable still has it beat in terms of pricing with high traffic numbers or a large amount of sites, but it is a great competitor if you're running a smaller site that you know won't scale.
If anything, give it a try and let me know what you think. The personal touches like customer service are where this host really shines.
